Eating disorder support for adults

If food has started taking up far more space in your head than you want it to, you're in the right place.

Maybe you're restricting, or stuck in a cycle of restricting and bingeing. Maybe you've been in recovery for a while and feel stuck, or you've never told anyone and aren't even sure what you'd call it. You don't need a diagnosis or a perfect reason to reach out.

I'm Caitlin, an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. I work with adults (18+) in person in Prahran and online across Australia.

What I can help with

  • Anorexia nervosa, including atypical anorexia

  • Bulimia nervosa

  • Binge eating disorder

  • ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder)

  • OSFED (other specified feeding or eating disorders)

  • Cycles of restricting and bingeing

  • Chronic dieting and disordered eating

  • Body image concerns

  • Eating difficulties linked to autism, ADHD or AuDHD

How I work

You won't be handed a meal plan and told to eat it. We start with what you can do right now and build from there, at a pace that feels doable.

I'm non-diet and weight-inclusive. That means there's no weight loss goal, no calorie counting and no assumption that a smaller body is a healthier one. Health is so much bigger than body size: it's physical, mental, social and emotional.

I'm also neuroaffirming. Lots of my clients are autistic or ADHD, so I want to understand how things like sensory needs, routines, energy and executive function shape the way you eat. If you're not neurodivergent, that's completely fine too. I bring the same curiosity to everyone.

What we might work on

  • Getting regular, adequate eating back in a way that fits your life

  • Loosening food rules and the guilt that comes with them

  • Working with fear foods at your own pace

  • Making sense of urges to binge, restrict or compensate

  • Body image and weight stigma

  • The practical stuff: shopping, meal ideas, eating at work and eating with other people

Part of your team

Eating disorder recovery usually goes best with a team around you. I work closely with GPs, psychologists and psychiatrists and I'm always happy to talk with yours. If you don't have a team yet, we can work out together who else might help.

Medicare and funding

If your GP has set up an Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan (EDP), you may be able to claim Medicare rebates for up to 20 dietetic sessions in a 12-month period. You can also use a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), NDIS funding or private health cover, or book privately with no referral at all. There's more detail on my Appointments page.

If you need urgent support

I work with adults who are well enough for outpatient care. If you're fainting, having chest pain or feel very unwell, please see your GP or go to your nearest emergency department. If you need to talk to someone now, the Butterfly Foundation helpline is on 1800 33 4673.

Ready when you are

If any of this sounds familiar, I'd love to help. You can book online, or email me at hello@cm-nutrition.com if you'd like to check I'm the right fit first.

I respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri People as the Traditional Owners of the land on which I live and work, as well as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Nations peoples of Australia. I pay my deepest respects to their Elders—past, present, and emerging—and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work in Naarm (Melbourne) and am committed to fostering cultural understanding, respect, and reconciliation in my practice and everyday life.
